Yepton Estate Cottages

Tucked into a private tropical garden on the edge of a natural salt lake in Five Islands, this intimate property offers five individual self-catering cottages for guests who prefer the freedom of their own space over a conventional hotel. With only five cottages on the estate, the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and the experience is personal — ideally suited to couples, honeymooners, independent travellers, and anyone seeking a quieter alternative to the all-inclusive circuit.

Cottage types

Three cottage categories are available, each thoughtfully appointed and fully self-contained:

• 1-Bedroom Cottage — comfortably sleeps two, with the addition of a sofa bed for a third guest and a hammock on the furnished terrace
• Deluxe 1-Bedroom Cottage — a generously appointed option for guests looking for extra comfort
• Superior 1-Bedroom Cottage — the most spacious of the three, also featuring a hammock on the terrace

In-cottage amenities

Every cottage is equipped to a high standard, making it equally suitable for a relaxed holiday stay or a longer visit. Each includes a king-size bed, super-quiet split-model air conditioning, an electronic safe, and a private bathroom with shower and hair dryer. The kitchenette is fully stocked with a fridge, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, blender, mini food processor, iron and ironing board, as well as a complete set of dishes, glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils, bakeware, and stainless steel pots and pans — everything needed for comfortable self-catering throughout the stay.

The living area features a sofa, cable television, and DVD player with a complimentary library of films. Free Wi-Fi is available both inside the cottage and across the outdoor areas of the estate. A pay-as-you-go mobile phone with credit for local calls is also provided.

Outdoors: pool, terrace, and waterside setting

Each cottage opens onto a furnished private terrace with beautiful views across the salt lake and surrounding tropical garden. A shared swimming pool with sundeck, sun loungers, and a comfortable sitting area is available to all guests. A small boat is moored at the water's edge for those who wish to cast a fishing line.

Housekeeping and services

Maid service is provided every fourth day as standard, with daily housekeeping available on request. Hosts Gabriela and Douglas offer a warm welcome to all arriving guests, including a guided trip to the nearby supermarket after check-in — a particularly useful touch for self-catering stays. Concierge assistance with car hire, island tours, and other arrangements is also on hand.
