Ideally positioned to serve the yachting community, Tropical Adventures operates two purpose-built charter vessels out of Antigua's waters, offering private charters and structured sea excursions that complement a sailing visit to the island. Whether crew members are seeking a day away from the dock, a private sunset cruise to mark a passage, or a circumnavigation of the island aboard a well-equipped catamaran, the fleet is well suited to the task.
The Charter Fleet
Two vessels form the backbone of the sea programme:
Excellence — a powerful catamaran featuring two decks, a built-in bar and grill, generous seating and full onboard facilities. Available for private charter and used for the circumnavigation tour, which takes guests all the way around Antigua, as well as for day voyages to Barbuda — a 90-minute sea passage that takes in Low Bay, widely regarded as one of the longest beaches in the Caribbean.
Mystic / Mystic II — a 65-foot sailing catamaran offering a more traditional sailing experience in a relaxed atmosphere. Available for private charters, weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, and corporate functions. Structured offerings include a Lobster Lunch Cruise, a Cades Reef Sail and Snorkel tour, and an evening Sunset Cruise of approximately two and a half hours.
Relevance for the Yachting Community
Both vessels operate in and around the waters familiar to visiting yachts — including the approaches to English Harbour, Falmouth Harbour, and the North Sound National Park. For crew members on a longer voyage, or for charter guests based at one of Antigua's marinas, Tropical Adventures offers a practical way to experience the island's coastline and offshore islands without the logistics of organising an independent passage. The Barbuda day trip aboard the Excellence is a particularly popular option for yacht crews with a tight itinerary who want to reach the island without an overnight passage.
Private Charters
Both catamarans are available for fully private hire, making them an attractive option for groups arriving during Sailing Week or other regatta events. All tours include lunch and an open bar as standard, and the onboard crew maintains the high service standards for which Tropical Adventures is known across the island.
