Antigua has long held its place as one of the principal yachting and sailing centres in the Caribbean, and the work of the Antigua & Barbuda Yachting & Marine Association (ABYMA) is central to maintaining that reputation. With a membership of over 80 businesses operating across Antigua and Barbuda — from charter companies and boatyards to marine supply specialists — the Association works collectively to ensure that visiting yachtsmen and the wider marine industry continue to benefit from world-class facilities and a well-protected marine environment.
Charter and Harbour Services
For those arriving by sea or planning a charter out of Antigua's celebrated harbours, ABYMA membership connects you to the full breadth of the island's marine services. The Association has worked closely with the National Parks Authority and the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to secure duty-free refuelling for vessels arriving in Antiguan waters for the first time — a meaningful benefit for passage-makers and charter fleets alike. Falmouth Harbour and English Harbour, both home to numerous ABYMA member businesses, remain the operational heart of Caribbean yachting, particularly in the lead-up to and during the island's celebrated regatta season.
