Half Moon Bay
About Half Moon Bay
Half Moon Bay is widely regarded as Antigua's most beautiful beach, having been voted one of the best beaches in the world multiple times. This breathtaking crescent-shaped beach stretches 3,200 feet of pristine white-pink sand on the southeastern coast.
The beach is part of a national park, which preserves its unspoiled, undeveloped character. Atlantic waves create a more dramatic seascape than the calmer Caribbean beaches. The left side is sheltered by rocks with calmer water suitable for snorkeling, while the right side offers stronger waves popular for bodysurfing and boogie boarding.
Amenities include parking, beach chair rentals, and Beach Bum Bar & Grill serving affordable food. A five-minute drive from Freetown Village, it's approximately 40 minutes from St. John's.
